Beyond The Pod

Every tree sponsored is a tree planted.

The EverPod™ keeps one tree alive and reusable for years. But we want to go further. For every tree sponsored or rented through the Okanagan Evergreen Collective, we plant a new tree in Canada in partnership with Tree Canada — the only national non-profit dedicated to planting and nurturing trees across the country.

A tree that doesn't go to landfill. And a tree that goes in the ground. Two acts of permanence from one sponsorship.

The pilot is the beginning.

15 trees in Kelowna schools this November. The EverPod™ prototype in hand. A patent in two countries. A founder who has been building toward this moment for twenty years.

The $50,000 is the key. Everything else is what it unlocks.

This Christmas, plant something that lasts.

The Problem

25 million trees. One month. Then the landfill.

Every December, North Americans cut down between 25 and 30 million trees, decorate them for four weeks, and throw them away. The Christmas tree — the most beloved symbol of the season — is also one of the most wasteful single-use products in the consumer economy.

This is a $1.44 billion market growing at 4.28% annually, built on a product with a better alternative. That alternative has never been engineered, packaged, and delivered at scale.

Until now.

A discarded Christmas tree left beside a garbage bin in the snow
25 million.
Every December. Then the curb.
The Solution

The EverPod™ — engineered by an arborist, not a product team.

The EverPod™ is a purpose-engineered root health and display system that keeps live Christmas trees alive, beautiful, and reusable season after season. It was drawn by hand in a notebook — by a professional arborist with nearly two decades of expertise in exactly what trees need underground.

A fiber plate eliminates girdling — the primary cause of containerized tree death. A self-watering reservoir keeps the tree healthy between top-ups. Integrated wheels let one person move a full-size live tree safely. A three-point locking system opens fully with zero soil spill.

The prototype is in production right now at Okanagan Plastics in Kelowna. The first full-size EverPod™ ever built is expected within weeks.

Meet the Founder

Nicole Mychasiuk — arborist, inventor, single mother, founder.

Nicole has been a professional arborist since 2006. She's operated a 55-foot aerial truck, competed in ISA climbing competitions, co-hosted women-in-arboriculture workshops, and led the Women of Wright committee at Arbor Care. She built the EverPod™ from two decades of watching what happens to roots in containers — and knowing it didn't have to be that way.

She is also a KWIB member, a Dress for Success Kelowna ambassador, and a solo parent whose son attends a Kelowna school she has her sights set on as the targeted pilot location. Every decision in this business is shaped by community, by roots, and by building something that actually lasts.

Last year, I was featured at the Watch Her Soar Gala — Dress for Success Kelowna's signature black-tie fundraiser — as a story of resilience and transformation. I will be back in that room on October 17, 2026, this time as a founder with a pilot season underway.

She filed the patent herself. She found the manufacturer herself. She built the investor plan, the financial model, and the school program herself — while raising her son and running her life. The EverPod™ is not a concept. It is the product of a career, a calling, and an extraordinary amount of work.

The Journey Behind This Campaign

Years of showing up — long before anyone was watching.

This campaign isn't just about an idea. It's about the years of work, learning, and community building that made the idea possible. Here is some of what that looks like.

Dress for Success Kelowna

Ambassador. Volunteer. Featured at Watch Her Soar.

Dress for Success Kelowna empowers women toward economic independence — helping with confidence, professional clothing, resume support, and interview preparation. Nicole became an ambassador not as a credential, but because she genuinely believes in what they do.

At the 2025 Watch Her Soar Gala — Dress for Success's signature black-tie fundraiser at the Delta Grand — Nicole was featured as part of the evening's story of resilience and transformation. The 2026 gala is October 17, and she'll be back in that room.
